This is a Great Class! Monday, Tuesdays, Wednesdays 5:00 to 6:00pm Fridays 4:00 to 5:00pm
Saturdays 10:00 to 11:00am Kids an Young Teens are at the most vulnerable age, self defense, safety and protection is most importance especially for girls. Ninjitsu Training is the study of human behavior. Identifying danger at an early age is very important. Classes will focus a lot more safety and protection, from a range of good wrist escapes to good forms (techniques) of personal protection.
Good form will create good habits. Good Habits away from Dojo training means better grades and focus. Good habits create good self defense. Good self defense creates a safer child.
We are not a typical Karate mall school in which many families are used to. We do not put head gear and gloves on your child and have another child with two to five years experience bash them in the head. If this has happened to your child and it is not what you were wanting, then you will love this class. We teach life skills relevant to safety and protection for your child while weaving in confidence, balance, and self-defense through the discipline of Martial Arts training and playing games. We believe this is the best way for them to learn. While your child is having FUN..... our focus is that they develop natural internal survival skills, confidence, discipline, and a positive behavior pattern for their safety!
In this class we have kids from 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th,7th and 8th grade. A dynamic age range of potential students are from 8 years to 13 years of age.
The curriculum of our Kids Ninjitsu class focuses on confidence and discipline. We teach as many as 40 of the Japanese Martial Arts including Karate, Aikido and Jujitsu. As we all know, children are like sponges, the right input will develop a strong character. More than learning to block, kick and punch, the comprehensiveness of the individual Arts and simplified to the root or essence of the technique or skill. We then apply the lesson though an exercise or technique. The comprehensiveness of the class has a great pace for kids, making it fun while learning our family Art. Our diversity of teaching are through different exercises through training and games to keep their attention focused all the while having fun. At the same time we slip in all the self-defense techniques so they acquire a good foundation to build character and inner strength. With our diversity of individual and group exercises our ability to adapt to special needs students fits perfectly. In many cases, the students cheer on others with praise which encourages the whole group to move forward. This non-conventional progressive structure allows us to change as we go. We teach to the pace and ability of the class including special needs students. We can either slow the pace down or pick the pace up. At least twice in each class all students are asked to meditate, to still their bodies and to still their minds. This brings peace and quiet to the individuals and to the class. A reward is then given (water break and a light snack in which we provide).
They learn all the moves and techniques as something fun to do while developing coordination through the exercises and games which develops discipline. A higher level of our family Art will be implemented plus a more in-depth study of the spiritual aspects of Maui Saito Ninjitsu. This is done with discipline training along with games so the Kids and Young Teens still have fun as they learn.
A story from Scott Manning, a Ninjitsu student... Gee, when I was 12, a kid tried to pick on me in the locker room after PE. When everyone else was gone, he came up and grabbed me by the collar with both hands. I took both hands, did that twist and drop move on him and took him to his knees, looked him in the face and calmly said "Leave me alone" and shoved him back while releasing him. Never saw him again. Scott Manning - California - USA. Another great example of using Ninjitsu without over doing it, bringing peace and protection to your child, not to mention confidence. yeah Scott!
